Welcome to Sacred Heart Cathedral School!
Sacred Heart Cathedral School is a vibrant, faith-filled community dedicated to the education of the whole child in a Catholic, Christ-centered environment. Our vision proclaims that SHCS fosters faithful disciples through prayer, academic integrity and service. Our defining mission is supported by church leadership, parent partnership, faculty dedication and a commitment to a tradition of excellence. Our school motto emphasizes three core values: faith, family and future.
Founded in 1956, Sacred Heart is a co-educational Kindergarten through 8th grade school operated under the supervision of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Knoxville. Sacred Heart offers a rigorous and diverse academic core curriculum, complimented by exceptional fine arts, technology, athletics, and campus ministry to 700 preschool, elementary and middle school students. SHCS is a ministry of the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, a diverse parish of over 1,500 families located in Knoxville, Tennessee, near the University of Tennessee and the Great Smoky Mountains, an area with a growing Catholic population.
We invite you to visit our campus and school to acquire a strong sense of our culture, unique spirit, and mission!
