On April 20th SHCS, Kindergarten classes went to IJAMS Nature Center. The “Five Senses” Discovery Program provided great opportunities to enhance our science curriculum involving pond life, insects, animals, and plants. Our children had a chance to explore shapes, textures, smells and sounds found in a natural environment; to demonstrate that forests and fields are friendly places full of adventure and wonder and to develop observation skills. Some of the animals we saw were: frogs, crawdad’s, turtles, and a snake! It was a great day to learn, to be together and enjoy God’s world!
