About Sacred Heart
Founded in 1956, Sacred Heart Cathedral School is a co-educational Preschool through 8th Grade school operated under the supervision of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Knoxville.
Sacred Heart offers a rigorous and diverse academic curriculum, complimented by an exceptional co-curriculum of fine arts, technology, athletics and campus ministry to 625 preschool, elementary and middle school students. It is a ministry of the Cathedral of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, a diverse parish of over 1,500 families located in Knoxville, Tennessee, near the University of Tennessee and the Smoky Mountains, an area with a growing Catholic population.
This is a historic moment in the life of Sacred Heart Cathedral Parish and School. We have recently built a new Cathedral that will serve as the center of worship not only for our parish and school, but for the vibrant and growing Catholic community in East Tennessee. Learn more at SHCathedral.org.
