Very Reverend David A. Boettner, V.G., Rector
Fr. David Boettner is the Rector of Sacred Heart Cathedral and was ordained in May 1994. He also serves as the Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia at the Diocese of Knoxville. He has served as Associate Pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Chattanooga, Associate Pastor of Sacred Heart Cathedral, Pastor of St. Mary Church in Athens, and as Pastor of St. Thomas the Apostle in Lenoir City. Reverend Arthur Torres, Associate Pastor
Fr. Arthur was born in Cali, Colombia and holds a Master of Divinity degree from the Sacred Heart School of Theology in Wisconsin. Fr. Arthur’s diaconate ordination was at St. Mary’s in Johnson City in December of 2012, and he was ordained to the priesthood for the Diocese of Knoxville on December 14, 2013. Fr. Arthur works closely with the Hispanic community on sacraments and spiritual life. He is also the Co-Master of Liturgy at the Cathedral. email@example.com
Mr. Daniel Breen, Principal
Mr. Breen has over 25 years of teaching and administrative experience. Before coming to Sacred Heart, Mr. Breen was Principal at Christ the King Catholic School in Lexington, KY, a 525-student, Blue Ribbon, and AdvancED school. In addition to his experience as a Principal, he served as Dean of Academic Affairs and Dean of Faculty at Cape Henry Collegiate School in Virginia. Mr. Breen also has extensive teaching experience and coached boys’ basketball for ten years. He holds a BA from Harvard University, MA from the University of Virginia, and EdS (Education Specialist) in Educational Administration and Supervision from Eastern Kentucky University. Mr. Breen was a 2018 nominee for NCEA’s Karen Ristau Innovations Award, a national award in Catholic education. Learn more in his Statement of Educational Philosophy.
