Very Reverend David A. Boettner, V.G., Rector
Fr. David Boettner was ordained in May 1994. He has served as Associate Pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Chattanooga, Associate Pastor of Sacred Heart Cathedral, Pastor of St. Mary Church in Athens, and most recently as Pastor of St. Thomas the Apostle in Lenoir City. Currently he is assigned to the Chancery as Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia and the pastor at Sacred Heart. Reverend Joe Reed, Associate Pastor
Father Joe was born in Knoxville and grew up in our Sacred Heart parish. While in seminary he entered Conception Abbey, where he was a Benedictine brother for ten years before being ordained to the priesthood. Fr. Joe has taught in the seminary college, offered spiritual direction, and assisted with parish and Newman Center ministry. email@example.com
Reverend Arthur Torres, Associate Pastor
Fr. Arthur was born in Cali, Columbia and holds a Master of Divinity degree from the Sacred Heart School of Theology in Wisconsin. Fr. Arthur’s diaconate ordination was at St. Mary’s in Johnson City in December of 2012, and he was ordained to the priesthood for the Diocese of Knoxville on December 14, 2013. Fr. Arthur works closely with the Hispanic community on sacraments and spiritual life. He is also the Co-Master of Liturgy at the Cathedral. firstname.lastname@example.org
Reverend Adam Kane, Associate Pastor
Father Adam is from Lynchburg, Tennessee and holds a B.S. in Anthropology and a minor in International Relations and Religion from Middle Tennessee State University. He briefly attended graduate school in Library & Archival Science at East Tennessee State University, but chose to enter the seminary where he graduated with a Master’s in Philosophy, a Master’s in Theology, and a Master’s in Divinity. Sarah Trent, Principal
Sarah Trent has over 20 years of educational experience mostrecently as Assistant Principal at Holy Family Catholic School in Jacksonville, FL. Mrs. Trent was also the Academic Dean and Director of Learning Resources at Bishop Kenny High School. She holds a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership, a Master of Education in Learning Disabilities, and a Bachelor of Science in Education. firstname.lastname@example.org
Mrs. Maki has been at Sacred Heart 16 years and is certified by the State Department of Education in the Tennessee State Framework for Evaluation and Professional Growth. She holds her degree from Kent State with a dual certification in Special Education in Hearing Impaired and Elementary Education. Sacred Heart Faculty & Staff
The SHCS faculty and support staff includes 87 specialists in art, music, health, technology, foreign language, library science, liturgy, physical education, drama, and band. 27 teachers hold advanced degrees. The SHCS staff also consists of 7 teaching assistants, staff psychologist, two school counselors, youth minister, Hispanic liaison, communications, development and the Young Folks after-school program.
