| All youth ministry events are designed and planned with input from the young people who are served, which ensures their voices are heard regarding their needs and wants for this ministry. As a result, young people begin to learn and take on leadership roles in the church.
Alpha and Junior High activities and events are scheduled in advance. A variety of events are planned to insure that as many young people participate as possible. Activities are age appropriate and affordable, some having no cost. The activity schedule is published in the monthly youth ministry newsletter, which is distributed to participants in all three ministry groups.
Presently, the Senior High group meets on Sunday afternoons or evenings. Check your newsletter for specific dates and times. The meeting typically begins with an informal social time of conversation and games in the youth center and is followed by a potluck or purchased dinner. The central focus involves a faith-sharing lesson based on an individual topic scheduled for each week.
Parents are critical to the success of the youth ministry program. The Alpha and Junior High groups have a ratio of 1:7, while the senior high ratio is 1:10. In the past year, more than 100 adults have volunteered their time and talent for youth ministry activities.
