Scholastic Art Awards
SHCS is very proud to announce the award recipients for the 2015 Scholastic Art Competition, the nation’s largest, longest- running, and most prestigious recognition program for creative teenagers in the Visual Arts.
SHCS is part of the Southeast Region-At-Large that includes schools from 11 states, (AL, AR, FL, GA, KY, MS, NC, SC, TN, VA, and WV).
Seven Self-Portrait Shoe sculptures were entered in this year’s competition. And considering the very large region that our student work competed in, recognition is a huge accomplishment.

Silver Key: Second highest level of achievement on the regional level
Honorable mention: Third highest level of achievement, (recognizes students with Artistic Potential)
