It is our pleasure to introduce Mrs. Kendall Doogan as the new Assistant Principal of Academics at Sacred Heart Cathedral School for the 2025-2026 school year. Mrs. Doogan brings with her two decades of
educational experience and a proven commitment to academic excellence, student engagement, and faith-based leadership.
Her career began in the public school system, where she spent ten years as an upper elementary teacher and grade-level chair. For the next ten years, Mrs. Doogan served at St. Mary’s School in Oak Ridge. In addition to her classroom expertise, Mrs. Doogan is skilled in technology integration, having taught technology and served as the librarian for Pre-K through 8th-grade. She also oversaw device management, developed digital citizenship lessons, and curated a library of over 10,000 books.
In 2017, Mrs. Doogan began her role as the Assistant Principal of St. Mary’s. She led strategic planning and accreditation processes, conducted teacher observations, supported curriculum development, and managed various school operations. Her leadership has consistently fostered a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
Mrs. Doogan holds a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University and a Master’s in Elementary Education from the University of Tennessee. She is known for her organization, leadership, and dedication to creating student-centered environments that promote academic growth and Catholic values.
