Dear SHCS Parents and Families,
As we approach Thanksgiving, my heart is filled with gratitude for the many blessings we share as a school community. Each day, I am inspired by the faith, joy, and dedication of our students, families, and staff. You are the heart of our mission, and it is a privilege to walk this journey of faith and learning together.
Thanksgiving reminds us to pause and reflect on God’s abundant blessings. I encourage you to take this time to gather with your loved ones, offer prayers of gratitude, and recognize the countless ways God’s love is present in your lives.
Following Thanksgiving, we will enter the sacred season of Advent—a time of joyful anticipation and preparation for the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Advent calls us to slow down, reflect, and prepare our hearts for the greatest gift of all: God’s love made manifest in His Son.
As a school, we look forward to celebrating this season through prayer, service, and community traditions that deepen our faith and help us live out the Gospel message. Please know that your family will remain in my prayers during this time of reflection and hope.
May your Thanksgiving be filled with peace, love, and gratitude, and may the season of Advent fill your hearts with joyful anticipation of Christ’s coming. Thank you for being part of our wonderful Sacred Heart Cathedral School family.
Wishing you and your loved ones a blessed Thanksgiving and Advent.
Yours in Christ,
Mary Sue Kosky
