Dear Sacred Heart Family,
This week marks the official end of our semester. Speaking on behalf of many, I could not be more proud of our students. The resilience, joy, optimism, and courage they have exhibited remind us why our mission matters. Please see the WBIR story featuring our 7th-grade day of service for yet another example of how we put “our faith into living action” (St. Teresa of Calcutta).
As we head into the break, here are a few important reminders:
-If you haven’t done so already, please return any checked out Chromebooks to the front office by next Tuesday, 12/8. We will have folks there from 9-2 each day.
-We are planning on the safe return of students in January. Here are a few ways you can help:
Please notify us if someone in your immediate household tests positive so we can continue to monitor the impact of the virus on our community.
Please limit exposure opportunities over break (travel, large gatherings, etc.), especially during the week leading up to the second semester.
We were fortunate to finish this semester without any known transmission of the virus within the school. That is largely a credit to our families for communicating early, social distancing, erring on the side of caution, and keeping your kids home when sick. Let’s keep up the great work and pull together to ensure a successful start to the second semester.
We will continue to monitor the impact of the virus on our area and keep you informed of any developments pertinent to school. Thank you for your teamwork and partnership.
-As a reminder, tuition support applications for the 2021-22 regional tuition assistance fund are due. Please contact Janine Juckett with any questions at jjuckett@shcknox.org.
-Next week, we look forward to the release of our virtual Christmas concert. Ms. Kimbro and the children worked so very hard on this, and we can’t wait to share it with you.
Finally, heading into this sacred time of Advent, I want to give special praise to God for His provision for all that we’ve needed to navigate this first semester. I pray that you and yours have a blessed, happy and safe holiday. Thanks for your prayerful support and partnership. We did it!
Grace and peace,
