Director of Admissions and Development:

Sacred Heart Cathedral School seeks a Director of Admissions and Development. The Director of Admissions and Development oversees the school’s enrollment management efforts. This role is a member of senior leadership and reports directly to the Principal. He/she supervises the admissions office, facilitating admission inquiries and follows the application of a candidate until the student is accepted and enrolled in the school. This person oversees student retention, actively working with families, teachers, and fellow administrators. In collaboration with school leadership and faculty, he/she offers strategic input on school marketing and branding and is responsible for the annual fund as well as long-term giving.

BA/BS; MA/MBA preferred; 5+ years’ experience in admissions, marketing, and sales or related field, preferably in a Catholic diocesan and/or independent school setting.

Administrative Assistant and Human Resources Coordinator:

Sacred Heart Cathedral School seeks an Administrative Assistant and Human Resources Coordinator. The Administrative Assistant and Human Resources Coordinator supports the Principal in his/her administrative needs and oversees office operations. The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to: handling incoming phone calls, emails, mail, and guests to the Principal’s office, preparing routine correspondence, attending Advisory School Board meetings to take notes, creating and maintaining the calendar for principal and master calendar for faculty and staff, including schoolwide events, classroom events, field trips, on-campus events, personal appointments for the Principal and weekly and monthly meetings; assisting in tracking Title I, II, III for professional development and submit receipts and paperwork for reimbursement, and ensuring compliance with the Diocese of Knoxville’s Virtus program, maintaining records, auditing employee compliance and completing an annual compliance audit report. The ideal candidate is organized, has a kind, professional manner and a spirit of collaboration.

BA/BS preferred; 5+ years’ experience in a professional office, preferably in a Catholic diocesan and/or independent school setting.

Science Teacher:

Sacred Heart Cathedral School is a Catholic, AdvancEd accredited school of 620 students, Preschool through 8th Grade. Sacred Heart is currently accepting applications for an MS Science instructor for the 2019-2020 academic year.

PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Science Teacher shall execute the instructional program of Sacred Heart Cathedral School by creating and maintaining a safe, healthy, and supportive environment and culture that synthesizes the intellectual, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual development of our students.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree

Teaching experience preferred

Hold or be able to obtain a valid teacher license by the State of Tennessee
